Thomas Chopard et Franciszek Zakrzewski présentent une communication lors de la conférence annuelle de l’ASEEES à San Francisco, dans le cadre d’un panel consacré aux « Microhistories of the Holocaust in Nazi-occupied Poland ».
Leur intervention se concentre sur les trajectoires de persécution des Juifs de Lubartów afin d’identifier quelles caractéristiques individuelles, familiales ou collectives décisives ont favorisé ou entravé le destin des Juifs de Lubartów.
Thomas Chopard et Franciszek Zakrzewski mobilisent toutes les sources disponibles pour montrer 1) que l’approche quantitative est la première mais décisive étape pour décrire les trajectoires d’un groupe persécuté spécifique et 2) une autre lecture des témoignages à l’aune des études quantitatives.
