On September 23, 24 and 25, 2021, as part of the Allez Savoir festival of the EHESS in Marseille, Claire Zalc, Anton Perdoncin and Adèle Sutre led workshops at the Mémorial des Déportations, welcomed with great efficiency and kindness by Laurence Garson.
The meetings with high school students as well as with the general public were interesting and were great experiences for both the team and the participants.
The questions and remarks gave rise to fruitful exchanges.
It was particularly enriching to get everyone to put themselves in the shoes of the historian when confronted with sources and, through them, to meet individuals and contexts.
One of the workshops was entirely translated into sign language with the participation of hearing-impaired people and it was a rare beauty and conviviality.
An experience to be repeated!
