As part of the day “Ukraine and its borders“, on the occasion of the European Days of Jewish Culture and Heritage.

The Russian invasion of February 24, 2022 has endangered the entire Ukrainian population and heritage. Several emblematic sites of Ukrainian Jewish history and Judaism were affected: Babi Yar in Kiev, Drobitsky Yar in Kharkiv, the synagogue in Mariupol, the Jewish cemeteries in Uman and Hlukhiv. The long list of destruction invites us to take the measure of what risks being lost and what must be preserved, among the innumerable traces of the long and rich history of the Jews of Ukraine.
